Any Meatballs

A basic recipe template you can use to create your own custom meatball. Works great as a stuffing for cabbage, pasta, dumplings, peppers, you get the idea.

Equipment

  • Sheet Pan, if baking
  • Spice Grinder or Mortar and Pestle, optional
  • cookie scoop, optional

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Soft Green Herb, chopped, Basil, cilantro, parsley, mint, etc
  • 1/4 Cup Roughly Chopped Nuts, toast 'em!
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheese
  • 2 tsp Dry Spices, or your favorite spice mixture
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes, optional
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil, Skip if meat is fatty, like pork

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven to 400°F
  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix gently.
  • Portion out meatballs onto a lightly greased sheet pan, using about 2-3 TBS of filling per meatball.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through, being careful not to overcook.
